The single-story pool villa is the house foreign buyers most often come to Hua Hin for. It is built around a covered terrace and a private pool on a walled plot, usually in a small gated estate. The main clusters lie along Soi 88, Soi 102, Soi 112 and Soi 116, on the lower slopes of Hin Lek Fai, and around Black Mountain, where some gardens back onto the fairways. Styles run from Balinese-style roofs to flat-roofed houses with full-height glass. Khao Tao and Pranburi add larger plots and a handful of villas close to the sand; true beachfront is scarce.
